This area is perfect for nesting and raising young birds. ‘Birders’ from in and out of state come to watch the migrations of the many species traveling through our little slice of heaven. A little further down Hwy 124, you’ll come across FM 1985. Eleven miles down, lies the 34,000 acre Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, FM 1985, Anahuac, TX 77514. This is another great area for birding, hiking, photography & wildlife watching.
